  1. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program.

  2. Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids before, during and after exercies.

  3. Eat at least 15 minutes before exercies. Bodies need fuel to provide energy during workouts.

  4. If any physical problems develop (nausea, sizziness, chest pain, feel faint, shortness of breath), stop exercise immediately and seek the WFC staff.

  5. Perform a 5-10 minute warm up to improve cuculation and warm-up muscles before the workout.

  6. Perform a 5-10 minute cool down to allow the heart rate to return to resting level.

  7. Use the Target Heart Rate (THR) Zone formula to find the best intensity range to workout in. Do not exceed THR Zone. WFC saff can help determine THR Zone.

  8. Ask WFC staff for help with unfamiliar equipment or assistance with weights.

  9. Let the WFC staff know if there has been a change in health status or new medications.

  10. Becoming fit is a journey, not a one-day destination. Fitness requires patience, persistence and perspiration. You got this!
