About KCKCC

This is KCKCC

Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is a centrally located public two-year institution in the Kansas City metro area in Wyandotte County. The college’s mission is to inspire individuals and enrich our community one student at a time, reflecting its dedication to student empowerment and workforce development. Its multiple locations provide endless learning opportunities. Students come to KCKCC to earn an associate degree or certificate in more than 70 programs.

The college offers specialized programs in areas such as advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and information technology, providing students with hands-on experience and industry-recognized credentials. Partnerships with local businesses and organizations enhance these programs, offering students opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, and job placements. KCKCC's focus on career readiness ensures graduates are well-equipped to enter the workforce and make immediate contributions.

Other students focus on taking affordable, accessible classes close to home before transferring to a four-year college or university. KCKCC offers adult education, general education, and associate degrees that prepare students for the next step in their education journey.

Comprehensive student support services, student activities, and on-campus housing encourage students to succeed. Centennial Hall's addition enhances the student experience by offering a safe learning community. This modern residence hall features private bedrooms, shared living areas, and spaces that foster a holistic educational environment.

As an economic engine in the service region, KCKCC has a total annual economic impact of $764.9 million. Focusing on workforce development, KCKCC is leading the way in workforce partnerships with employers through for-credit apprenticeships, public-private partnerships and customized workforce training.

KCKCC has multiple locations and is constructing a new downtown center, the Kansas City Kansas Community, Education, Health and Wellness Center. The public-private partnership brings together the college, Swope Health and CommunityAmerica Credit Union. A model for educational innovation this center brings support for the whole person to where citizens need it most – in the city's urban core. The new center will be open in Fall 2026.
