Weight Room (Room 2910)
It's recommended that members take a weight training class at least once to become familiar with the equipment. Staff may correct a member's technique to ensure they do not get injured from poor technique. The weight room is open, as long as there is not a weight training class in session. Never lift weights alone; always ask a member of staff to help in the weight room. Use the weight collars provided. Do not drop the weights on the floor because there are classrooms and offices below. Return the weight equipment to the proper storage location when done using them. Weight room rules are posted on the east bulletin board.
Testing Office (Room 2908)
This room is reserved for physical fitness assessments and consultations performed by the Wellness and Fitness Center professional staff.
Aerobic Studio (Room 2906)
The aerobic studio is a privilege for those enrolled in aerobic classes and other activity classes. Please do not wear street shoes on the suspended wood floor. It's highly recommend that members keep aerobic shoes for indoor use only. All injuries, illnesses or other problems should be brought immediately to the instructor.
Multi-Purpose Room (Room 2901)
The multi-purpose room is designed for exercise science classes, as well as seminars and fitness screenings. Wellness students are encouraged to use this location for studying.
Aerobic Super Circuit
The red lights coordinate with the circuit. Every 30 seconds, the red lights come on and stay on for five seconds. During that time, switch to the next machine. The circuit rotates in a counter clockwise direction. Guidelines for this circuit are posted on the east wall closest to the circuit.
Cardiovascular Area
There is a 30-minute time limit on all cardiovascular machines.
Indoor Walking Track
The indoor walking track is the blue area around the perimeter of the facility. Seventeen laps equal one mile. The track direction changes each day. Lap counters are available at the front desk, upon request.
