Blue Devil Academy

The Blue Devil Faculty Academy at Kansas City Kansas Community College is a professional development program offered through the Center for Teaching Excellence. The academy provides faculty with resources and opportunities that support the scholarship of teaching and learning. As a result of participating in the academy, faculty will become acquainted with the institutional culture, procedures, and instructional issues. In addition, all faculty members are welcome to share evidence-based teaching practices that create engaging learning environments that focus on student success.

Kansas City Professional Development Council (KCPDC)

KCPDC supports a comprehensive and systematic approach to faculty/staff development. Effective faculty/staff development is central and highly contributory to the educative process of students. The most effective faculty/staff development effort directs its resources and programs toward the accomplishment of the college's strategic plan and/or annual objectives. Colleges and universities must attract and retain the best possible employees in order to stay competitive. A strong faculty/staff development program can enhance the hiring process and keep current employees knowledgeable.

National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD)

For community and technical colleges that want to make the most of their professional development dollars, NISOD provides budget-friendly, high-quality, and faculty-focused programs and resources. For nearly 40 years, NISOD’s customer-focused approach has helped align our wide array of benefits with the needs of our members, which explains why the American Association of Community Colleges named NISOD, “The country’s leading provider of professional development for community college faculty, staff, and administrators.” A.C.U.E.
