Associate of Applied Science in Corrections

This degree teaches the student about theory and practice in corrections, and the role of corrections within the justice system. The program also prepares the student for the challenges facing the corrections environment in today’s society. All of the courses in this program meet the requirements for the Associate of Applied Science degree.

The Certificate in Corrections Science is structured to give the student that may not be interested in obtaining an actual associates degree in the subject matter of corrections, a better understanding of the corrections career. This certificate is also designed to give students that are employed in the corrections environment, a better understanding of their role in the profession. Additionally, this certificate can also be utilized to enhance promotional opportunities within their respective corrections agency.
