The KCKCC E-Journal is a web-based, bi-annual, interdisciplinary publication of the Kansas City Kansas Community College. The journal publishes high quality, peer-reviewed articles and works-in-progress, as well as creative works in any genre. According to the editorial board bylaws, external scholars, faculty and staff or retired faculty and staff are eligible to submit entries for consideration and possible publication. The journal’s central theme is "exploring a scholarly community."
Our mission is to provide a virtual forum for developing and sharing knowledge and creativity. The journal is an outlet for research and creative works and an opportunity for professional exchange and collegial critique.
From its conceptual framework, the journal is designed to ensure that contributors and the reading public derive maximum benefits from mutual experiences and skills. As a twenty-first-century phenomenon, the community of scholars benefit from web-based journals in that they facilitate immediate access to current writing and research. They also provide an opportunity for KCKCC faculty and staff to present works-in-progress for community and peer review. The KCKCC e-journal is therefore a symbol of community-spirit of shared-benefits and shared-responsibilities for making life better.
