Kansas City Kansas Community College is committed to serving our community in many ways. We encourage Wyandotte County residents, non-profits and businesses to use our facilities.
Applying for Fee Waivers
Fee waiver requests should be submitted to the Events and Scheduling Office at least 30 days before the event whenever possible. To apply for a fee waiver, please complete the request form online. The Events and Scheduling office will confirm your event and email the invoice attached. You then can submit a letter on letterhead to the KCKCC Events and Scheduling office that includes the following information:
- Where you or your organization resides. Special consideration is given to Wyandotte County organizations and non-profits.
- Brief description of the purpose of the event.
- Will the event charge a fee to attend or participate? Is it raising money in any way?
- Type of group requesting the waiver: individual/family, business, non-profit, city/county municipality or another kind of organization.
Fee Waiver Amounts
KCKCC has outlined below how it generally determines the percentage of fees waived. When granting fee waivers, the college considers the type of organization, the cost of attending the event, and the organization's location. Full fee waivers are rarely granted for performance and athletic facilities at KCKCC.
Please note that while fees are often waived, direct costs such as staff time and deposits are rarely waived.
