F-1 Transfer-In Students

Complete the International Application and pay the compulsory $85 international application fee online.

• The status of an application for which the compulsory $85 international application fee has not been paid is Started.
• The status of an application will not be Submitted until after the compulsory $85 international application fee is paid.
  • International Student Services does not receive an application until its status is Submitted; an application in Started status is not sent to, or received by, International Student Services.
  • The compulsory $85 international application fee is nonrefundable.

Upload official upper secondary school transcripts, showing successful completion of upper secondary school — in the native language AND accompanied by an official English translation — directly into My Account.

• Note: Students are required to submit their official, original (paper/hard-copy) transcripts to the KCKCC Admissions Office immediately upon your arrival

Students will NOT be able to enroll in classes until after their official, original transcripts are received

F-1 Transfer students that have successfully completed a minimum of at least 24 academic credit hours at a U.S. college/university may be exempted from the submission of Upper Secondary School transcripts. ESL classes and college preparatory classes are not academic credits and do not count toward the 24 academic credit hour minimum for exemption.

• Athletes are NOT exempt, and submission of their official upper secondary school transcripts is required.
• Athletes are NOT athletically eligible until after all required official, original (paper/hard-copy) upper secondary school documents have been submitted to the KCKCC Admissions Office.

Students must upload their official upper secondary school graduation certificate/graduation diploma/National Examination Certificate, showing their successful graduation from upper secondary school — in the native language AND accompanied by an official English translation — directly into My Account.  

• Note:  Students are required to submit their official, original (paper/hard-copy) graduation certificate/graduation diploma/National Examination Certificate to the KCKCC Admissions Office immediately upon arrival

Submit official, FINAL college/university transcript directly from each institution have attended in the United States (U.S.).

• Official, final transcripts must be submitted from the institution attended directly to KCKCC's Registrar's Office. 
  • These transcripts cannot be uploaded to the online application.
• Admission/acceptance cannot be granted until after all official, final transcripts have been received from ALL U.S. institutions attended.
  • "Final" transcripts show grades for all classes taken at a college/university; including all classes for the current semester in which currently enrolled.
    • Transcripts showing "In Progress" classes are NOT final transcripts.
  • F-1 transfer-in students must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.0 from all institutions attended in the U.S. to be eligible for admission/acceptance to KCKCC.
    • ESL and college preparatory classes are included in GPA calculation.
  • F-1 transfer-in students must be in good standing at their current institution to be eligible for admission/acceptance to KCKCC.

• An official form is required from each financial sponsor who provided a bank statement or bank letter
• The form must be completed and signed by the financial sponsor
• The financial sponsor's name on the form must exactly match the name on their bank statement or bank letter
• The form must be notarized or attested

Students must upload a color copy of the biographical page of their current, valid passport directly into My Account.

The $85 international application fee can be paid here.

Students must upload a color copy of the F-1 visa they most recently used to enter the United States directly into My Account.

Students must upload a color print-out of their I-94 Admission Record directly into My Account.

• Students may retrieve their I-94 Admission Record online by clicking HERE.

Students must upload color copies of pages 1 and 2 of their most recently issued Form I-20 from their current school directly into My Account.

• If students have attended more than one school in the United States as an F-1 status student, upload color copies of pages 1 and 2 of their most recently issued Form I-20 from ALL schools they have attended in the U.S.

Students must submit their official English Language Proficiency test scores to KCKCC directly from the test provider/company.

• Official test scores must be submitted from one (1) of the tests listed below; scores from tests not listed below are not accepted
  • Test scores are valid for two (2) years from the testing date
  • The scores listed below are the lowest scores accepted by KCKCC
• Completion of an ESL (English as a Second Language) program is not acceptable proof of English language proficiency; scores from one (1) of the tests listed below must be submitted
• Students from countries where English is an official language may be exempted from the English Language Proficiency Test requirement

• F-1 Transfer students that have successfully completed a minimum of at least 24 academic credit hours — including English Composition I and English Composition II, both with grades of C or higher — at a U.S. college/university may be exempted from the English Language Proficiency Test requirement.
