Student Success Center

Student Success Center

The mission of student success advising at KCKCC is to support student success by recognizing and valuing unique backgrounds, goals, and strengths or each student.  We empower students to create educational and career plans that align with their academic readiness, personal interests, abilities, and responsibilities.

Once you have received your admission confirmation and student ID number, and reviewed the Enrollment Checklist, you can schedule an appointment with your advisor, either in-person, by phone, or video chat (Microsoft Teams).

New Students with fewer than 12 KCKCC credit hours are required to meet with an advisor before enrolling.

  • Bring a government issued photo ID or your KCKCC student ID.
  • Submit your high school and college transcripts.

Returning students are welcome to check-in with advisors and receive help at anytime. Advisors can assist with class issues, program planning, enrollment and much more!

Placement Evaluation

The process involves the use of multiple factors including, but not limited to, high school GPA/course grades, GED content scores, ACT/SAT scores, college transcripts, ACCUPLACER™ or ALEKS scores, and DANTES scores for course placement.

For those who need to come in for evaluation, no appointment is required. Evaluations are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Come in between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for your evaluation.
