The Office of Student Engagement is dedicated to fostering student growth and development by promoting a wide range of events, resources and activities. These opportunities are designed to encourage active involvement in academic, professional, civic, and social pursuits, providing students with a holistic platform for personal and professional development.

BlueConnect

KCKCC uses the app BlueConnect to keep students up to date on events, student organizations to join and ways to get involved in the community. Don’t miss out! Download the Involve app by Modern Campus, select KCKCC, login and get connected to BlueConnect in the Apple or Android store. 

Game Room

Have fun at college. Visit the Game room for weekday access to a pool table and a wide selection of video games with multiple systems available for use. The Game Room is located adjacent to the Office of Student Engagement, in the Lower Jewell Student Center. 

Basic Needs Center

The Basic Needs Center helps expand and enhance equitable access to basic needs services and resources to support student persistence, to aid retention, and success with a focus on historically marginalized populations across the college. 

For students, the center provides limited emergency financial assistance and oversees the Blue Devils Cupboard, which is the food pantry for the college community at all campus.

Student Senate

KCKCC Student Senate (student government) works as a legislative body which includes executive board members, student senators, and student club representatives from all the KCKCC clubs, organizations and special interest groups. This legislative body is the voice for all KCKCC students. Through the voice of this body, issues concerning students, academics, faculty, staff, policies, procedures, and the college may be discussed during each of the bi-weekly general meetings.

Any enrolled student may apply as an executive board member and can be appointed by the board to the senate if interested. Interested students should contact the Office of Student Engagement and/or any of the student senate officers.

All KCKCC students are welcome to attend the student senate meetings and stop by the office at any time. 

For a concern or something to discuss privately or publicly at the meetings, please contact any student senate member via email or in person.
