  • All Internships pay $10.50 per hour and have a max of 19.5 hours of work per week.
  • All Interns are required to dress appropriately for workplace when working (business casual means nice jeans and nice shirt or blouse, no t-shirts).
  • All Interns are required to display KCKCC Intern Student ID on a lanyard at all times while working. Campus Police will print Intern ID’s. Intern I.D. lanyards can be picked up in Admissions.
  • All Internship approvals are on a first come first serve bases and are based upon availability of KCKCC Student Internship funding.
  • Having an internship one semester does not automatically mean that the internship will be renewed for the next semester. The faculty or departmental sponsor will need to request for the continuation. of internship based on availability of funds.
  • An internship can be discontinued at any time without prior written notice.
  • Internship applications must be received by the Career Services Office by deadline listed above.


  • Freshman (0-30 credits) and Sophomore students (30-60 credits) 18 years old and older are eligible to apply for Internships. Students over 60 credits can apply by exception only.
  • Interns must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours during semester of internship or 6 hours during Summer. To work January hours, Interns must be enrolled in Spring courses.
  • All Interns must be in good academic standing with a minimum of 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
  • All Interns must complete a FAFSA.
  • Eligible interns must not have been dismissed from any educational institution for disciplinary reasons or academic dishonesty.
