Set Your Fitness Goals at the KCKCC Wellness and Fitness Center

Do you have fitness goals? Do you need help becoming motivated to accomplish those fitness goals? Then a program at the KCKCC Wellness & Fitness Center might be just for you.

The KCKCC Wellness Goal Getters program is designed to motivate participants to set personal goals that will improve their cardiovascular fitness levels. Those who are interested are encouraged to sign up for the program at the beginning of each semester by completing the registration form and submitting it to Pam Hall, wellness specialist at the wellness & fitness center. The program begins Jan. 16 for the spring 2024 semester.

Once registered, participants in the program can set a goal of how many miles they want to complete during the semester. Mileage amounts include:

  • 25 miles
  • 50 miles
  • 75 miles
  • 100 miles
  • 200 miles
  • 300 miles
  • 500 miles

Each week, participants will send how many miles they completed to Pam Hall, wellness specialist at the KCKCC Wellness & Fitness Center. Once the Goal Miles are completed, participants are eligible for a prize. Those who complete their goals are also entered into a prize drawing at the end of the semester.

Miles Equivalent List:

  • Treadmill = Equivalent Miles
  • Elliptical = Equivalent Miles
  • Indoor/Outdoor Track = Equivalent Miles
  • 3 Bike Miles = 1 mile
  • 52 Flights of Stairs = 1 mile
  • 2,000 Steps = 1 mile
