Purpose

To describe general requirements for graduation.

Policy Statement

To meet Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) requirements for graduation, a student must meet the requirements of the degree or certificate and the following:

  1. Maintain an overall cumulative grade-point average of 2.00.
  2. Complete a minimum number of credit hours at KCKCC, as follows:
    • Certificate A: 6 credit hours
    • Certificate B: 9 credit hours
    • Certificate C: 12 credit hours
    • Associate Degree: 15 credit hours
  3. Apply no more than 30 credit hours of nontraditional studies credit to graduation requirements (please refer to the Academic Catalog for nontraditional studies description and procedure).
  4. Earn the minimum amount of credit hours required for the degree or certificate.

KCKCC will make every effort to identify students who meet degree or certificate requirements and award credentials to each student who has earned them.
