Posted on Friday, March 03, 2023

Submissions for Kansas City Kansas Community College’s Spring 2023 E-Journal are now being accepted.

The KCKCC E-Journal is a web-based, interdisciplinary publication that is published twice a year. It features high quality, peer-reviewed articles and works-in-progress as well as creative works in any genre. Current faculty and staff, retirees and other members of the academic community outside the college are eligible to submit entries for consideration and possible publication. The goal of the publication is to provide a virtual forum for developing and sharing knowledge and creativity. The journal represents an outlet for research and creative works and an opportunity for professional exchange and critique. The journal’s central theme is “exploring a scholarly community.” Faculty, adjunct faculty, staff and the community are invited to submit papers for publication in each edition of the KCKCC E-Journal.

There is no topic for the spring edition. Authors are free to submit any essays of their choice. Submitted manuscripts should include the following - title, 100 to 150 word abstract and a brief author’s bio-sketch. Materials should be submitted through an email attachment by March 30 to Dr. Ewa Unoke, editor of the KCKCC E-Journal.

All submissions need to be:

  • Microsoft Word document
  • Font face Arial
  • Font size 12
  • Fully justified

The Editorial Board limits one manuscript submission per author, per issue. The work to be considered for publication is also limited to 25 pages excluding the bibliography, references or works cited sections. The limit for publication of poems is no more than five poems per contributor, per issue. It is expected that all manuscripts will be submitted electronically. Furthermore, as an on-line journal, the KCKCC E-Journal takes advantage of the Internet by making resources available to readers through embedded links such as photos, videos, music, data bases and special sites that would not be possible in print journals.

The copyright for each work accepted for publication will remain with the author in the event publication is sought elsewhere. Neither the works nor their contents as published in this journal should be considered to reflect the opinions or views of KCKCC, the Editorial Board or the editor and are solely that of the authors.
