Available Scholarships

Maximum award amount is $1,000 per semester. Fall and Spring semesters only.  

  • Must be enrolled in a Nursing program as determined by a KCKCC degree plan 
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required 
  • Preference given to students with financial need 
  • Preference given to single or working parents
  • Award may be used for education expenses 
  • The Gibson Scholarship reimburses Mortuary Science students who successfully pass (on the first attempt) the National Mortuary Science Board Exam
  • Reimbursement is made directly to the student after verification is received from the KCKCC Mortuary Science Program Coordinator

Maximum award amount is $1,000 per semester. Summer, Fall and Spring semesters available.

  • Must be enrolled in Computer Engineering Technology (Web Emphasis), Computer Software Technology, Digital Imaging Design, or Web Applications & Design as determined by a KCKCC degree plan 
  • Preference for a female student 
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 required 
  • Recipient will be selected by the family and friends of Ashley Wright

Maximum award amount is $1,500 for two semesters ($750 for Fall and $750 for Spring). One (1) scholarship is awarded for the entire academic year (Fall and Spring semesters).

  • Applicant must be of Asian race as identified on the KCKCC Application for Admission
  • Must be enrolled in a degree or certificate program as determined by a KCKCC degree plan
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required
  • Recipient must attend and be recognized at the Asian American Chamber of Commerce Gala in May

  • Preference given to a graduate from KCKPS District 500
  • Preference given to students with intention to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree in education

Maximum award amount is $500-$1,500 per semester. Fall and Spring semesters only.

Maximum award amount is $1,000 per semester. Fall and Spring semesters only.

  • Must be enrolled in a mathematics intensive degree/certificate program as determined by a KCKCC degree plan, as follows:
    • Certificate Programs: Machine Technology or Electrical Technology
    • Associate in Applied Science: Drafting Technology
    • Associate in Arts: Secondary Education
    • Associate in Science: Environmental Studies, Business, Chemistry, Computer Engineering Technology, Physics, or Engineering
    • Associate in General Studies: Environmental Studies, Chemistry, Computer Engineering Technology, Forensic Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering
  • Applicant may not hold a previous degree or certificate
  • Must have 80 or fewer college credit hours
  • Award may be used for educational expenses

Maximum award amount is $3,500 per academic year. ($1,750 for Fall and $1,750 for Spring). One (1) scholarship is awarded for the entire academic year (Fall and Spring semesters only).

  • Must be enrolled in a certificate or degree program as determined by a KCKCC degree plan

Maximum award amount is $750 per semester. Fall and Spring semesters only. One (1) award available per semester.

  • Must be enrolled in a Elementary or Secondary Education program as determined by a KCKCC degree plan 
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for freshman (Incoming KCKCC students)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 for sophomores (Current KCKCC students)
  • Must be a Kansas resident
    • Preference given to Wyandotte County residents
    • Preference given to graduates of De Soto High School (USD 232)

  • Students who identify as a member of a historically excluded group, especially those who identify as Black/African American given preference
  • Must be enrolled in at least 10 credit hours for the EMT program or 8 credit hours for the EMT-P program

Maximum award amount is $500 per semester. One (1) scholarship available for Fall and one (1) for Spring semesters. 

  • Must be enrolled in a degree or certificate program as determined by a KCKCC degree plan, as follows:
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Computers
    • Engineering
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
  • Female students in the first or second (freshman) semesters at KCKCC and have no credits from other colleges (except dual/concurrent coursework)
  • Must be Kansas resident
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 required
  • Must be enrolled full time (full time credit hours vary by degree program, visit our FAQ page to learn more)
  • Award may be used to pay tuition only

Maximum award amount is $1,000 per semester. Two (2) scholarships available for Fall and two (2) for Spring semesters.

  • Must be enrolled in a degree or certificate program as determined by a KCKCC degree plan
  • Preference given to students in an education program
  • Must be a Kansas resident, preference given to Wyandotte County residents
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required
  • Must be enrolled full time (full time credit hours vary by degree program, visit our FAQ page to learn more)
  • Recipient must be willing to attend and be recognized at the WYCARSP meeting in May
  • Award may be used for educational expenses

Maximum award amount is $850 per semester. Fall and Spring semesters only.

  • Must be enrolled in a degree or certificate program as determined by a KCKCC degree plan
  • Must be a Wyandotte High School Graduate
  • Applicant may not hold a previous degree or certificate
  • Must have 80 or fewer college credit hours
  • High School applicants (entering KCKCC Freshmen) must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 from Wyandotte High School
  • Currently enrolled KCKCC students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Award may be used for educational expense
