Application Deadline Notes
- International students are not eligible for admission to the Summer Semester.
- International students are not eligible for admission to the Second 8-Week Term of the Fall or Spring Semesters.
- The application deadline is the LAST possible day to submit a complete application packet.
- KCKCC must receive all required Supplemental Items PRIOR to the deadline listed above in order for an application to be complete.
- The application deadline is NOT flexible or negotiable.
- Incomplete applications will NOT be reviewed.
- Incomplete applications will be Cancelled.
All required Supplemental Items must be uploaded directly into My Account.
- The status of an application will not be Complete until all compulsory Supplemental Items are received.

Step 1: Application & Application Fee
Complete the International Application and pay the compulsory $85.00 international application fee online.
- The status of an application for which the compulsory $85.00 international application fee has not been paid is Started.
- The status of an application will not be Submitted until after the compulsory $85.00 international application fee is paid.
- International Student Services does not receive an application until its status is Submitted; an application in Started status is not sent to, or received by, International Student Services.
- The compulsory $85.00 international application fee is nonrefundable.
Step 2: Upload Official Upper Secondary School Transcripts
Upload your official upper secondary school transcripts, showing your successful completion of upper secondary school — in the native language AND accompanied by an official English translation — directly into My Account.
- Note: you are required to submit your official, original (paper / hard-copy) transcripts to the Admissions Office immediately upon your arrival at KCKCC
- You will NOT be able to enroll in classes until after your official, original transcripts are received

Step 3: Upload Official Upper Secondary School Certificate
Upload your official upper secondary school Graduation Certificate / Graduation Diploma / National Examination Certificate, showing your successful graduation from upper secondary school — in the native language AND accompanied by an official English translation — directly into My Account.
- Note: you are required to submit your official, original (paper / hard-copy) Graduation Certificate / Graduation Diploma / National Examination Certificate to the Admissions Office immediately upon your arrival at KCKCC
- You will NOT be able to enroll in classes until after your official, original Graduation Certificate / Graduation Diploma / National Examination Certificate is received

Step 4: Upload Proof of Financial Support
Upload an official Bank Statement or Bank Letter into My Account.
- In English
- In readily available funds
- Real estate, stocks, investments, payroll statements, etc… are NOT eligible
- In the minimal amount of KCKCC’s current Estimated Cost of Attendance for one Academic Year

Step 5: Upload Affidavit of Support Form
Upload an official Affidavit of Support Form directly into My Account.
- An official form is required from each Financial Sponsor who provided a Bank Statement or Bank Letter
- The form must be completed and signed by the Financial Sponsor
- The Financial Sponsor's name on the form must exactly match the name on their Bank Statement or Bank Letter
- The form must be notarized or attested
Step 6: Upload Passport
Upload a color copy of the biographical page of your current, valid passport directly into My Account.
Step 7: Submit Official English Language Test Scores
Have your official English Language Proficiency Test Scores submitted to KCKCC directly from the test provider/company.
- Official test scores must be submitted from one (1) of the tests listed below; scores from tests not listed below are not accepted
- Test scores are valid for two (2) years from the testing date
- The scores listed below are the lowest scores accepted by KCKCC
- Completion of an ESL (English as a Second Language) program is not acceptable proof of English language proficiency; scores from one (1) of the tests listed below must be submitted
- Students from countries where English is an official language may be exempted from the English Language Proficiency Test requirement

Important Information
- Student Visa Types
- F-1 student visas are for academic programs; KCKCC’s Associate Degree programs are academic programs.
- M-1 student visas are for vocational programs; KCKCC’s Technical Certificates are vocational programs.

- Receiving a Form I-20
- After all the required application documents have been submitted the application and supporting documents will be reviewed to determine admissibility to KCKCC.
- If it is determined that all admission criteria are fulfilled, then the acceptance and Form I-20 will be processed. An email with a tracking number will be sent when the Acceptance Packet (including the Form I-20) has shipped.
- Compulsory International Student Health Insurance
- All F-1 and M-1 status international students are required to purchase Kansas City Kansas Community College’s compulsory International Student Health Insurance.
- International students are required to carry health insurance through KCKCC from Relation Insurance Services, KCKCC’s international student health insurance carrier.
- F-1 and M-1 status students will be automatically enrolled in this health insurance plan each semester and will be charged the corresponding fees for this health insurance plan each semester.
- THIS IS COMPULSORY AND CANNOT BE WAIVED.
- All F-1 and M-1 status international students are required to purchase Kansas City Kansas Community College’s compulsory International Student Health Insurance.
Applicant Notes
- All application materials and documents submitted for admission to Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) become the property of KCKCC; these materials and documents cannot be returned to the applicant.
- Application requirements cannot be waived.
- Submission of altered, falsified or fraudulent application information and/or Supplemental Items will result in the immediate DENIAL of admission.
- Some courses may require fees in addition to the tuition and fees cost listed above; these fees are listed in the class schedule each semester.
- The KCKCC Board of Trustees has the right to change tuition and fee costs without notice.
