Application Deadline Notes

  • F-1 status students are not eligible for admission to the Summer Semester.
  • F-1 status students are not eligible for admission to the Second 8-Week Term of the Fall or Spring Semesters.
  • The application deadline is the LAST possible day to submit a complete application packet.
  • KCKCC must receive all required Supplemental Items PRIOR to the deadline listed above in order for an application to be complete.
  • The application deadline is NOT flexible or negotiable.
  • Incomplete applications will NOT be reviewed.
  • Incomplete applications will be Cancelled.

Application Requirements

Step 1: Fill Out Application


Complete the International Application and pay the compulsory $85.00 international application fee online.

  • The status of an application for which the compulsory $85.00 international application fee has not been paid is Started.
  • The status of an application will not be Submitted until after the compulsory $85.00 international application fee is paid.
  • International Student Services does not receive an application until its status is Submitted; an application in Started status is not sent to, or received by, International Student Services.

Step 2: Upload Official Secondary School Transcripts


Upload your official secondary/high school transcripts – in the native language and accompanied by an official English translation – directly into My Account.

  • F-1 SEVIS-transfer students who have successfully completed at least 24 academic credit hours at a U.S. college/university may be exempted from submission of secondary/high school transcripts.
  • ESL classes and college preparatory classes are not academic and do NOT count toward the 24 credit hour minimum.

Step 3: Upload Official Graduation Certificate


Upload your official secondary/high school graduation/national examination certificate(s) – in the native language and accompanied by an official English translation – directly into My Account.

  • Students from West Africa:
    • Submit your official West African Secondary School Certificate Examination Statement of Results (WASSCE)
    • Submit a color copy of the front and back of your WAEC Results Checker Card (‘Scratch Card’)
  • Students from Kenya:
    • Submit your official Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)

F-1 SEVIS-transfer students who have successfully completed at least 24 academic credit hours at a U.S. college/university may be exempted from submission of secondary/high school transcripts.

Step 4: Submit U.S. College/University Transcripts


Submit your official, FINAL college/university transcripts directly from ALL institutions attended in the United States.

  • Admission cannot be granted until all official, final transcripts have been received from all U.S. institutions.
  • Transfer students must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 0 from all institutions attended in the U.S. in order to be eligible to transfer-in to KCKCC.
  • ESL classes and college preparatory classes are included in the CGPA.

Step 5: Upload Proof of Financial Support


Upload an official Bank Statement or Bank Letter into My Account.

  • In readily available funds
    • Real estate, stocks, investments, payroll statements, etc… are NOT eligible
  • In the minimal amount of KCKCC’s current Estimated Cost of Attendance for one Academic Year

Step 6: Upload Affidavit of Support


Upload an official Affidavit of Support directly into My Account.

Required from each Financial Sponsor who provided a Bank Statement or Bank Letter

  • Must be completed and signed by the Financial Sponsor
  • Must be notarized or attested

Step 7: Upload Passport


Upload a color copy of the biographical page of your current, valid passport directly into My Account.

Step 8: Upload Visa


Upload a color copy of the F-1 visa you most recently used to enter the United States directly into My Account.

Step 9: Upload I-94 Admission Record


Upload a color print-out of your I-94 Admission Record directly into My Account.

  • You may retrieve your I-94 Admission Record online by clicking HERE.

Step 10: Upload Forms I-20


Upload color copies of your most recently issued Form I-20 from your current school, and from all previously attended schools in the United States, directly into My Account.

Step 11: Submit Official English Language Test Scores


Submit your official English Language Proficiency Test Scores directly from the test provider/company; your personal copy cannot be accepted.

  • Use the Send Additional Score Report option
  • KCKCC’s School Reporting Code is 6333
  • Pay the $20.00 ‘additional score report’ order fee
    • Score reports are sent 3-5 business days after your request is received

  • KCKCC applicants can receive a 10% discount on the E3PT by entering the promo code MYKCKCC when registering for the test

Important Information

  • Receiving a Form I-20
  • After all the required application documents have been submitted the application and supporting documents will be reviewed to determine admissibility to KCKCC.
  • If it is determined that all admission criteria are fulfilled, an Acceptance Letter and F-1 Transfer Clearance Form will be sent via email. If the SEVIS Record is in Active status, it may be transferred to KCKCC.
  • After admission and the successful transfer-in of the Active status SEVIS Record, an email will be sent when the KCKCC Form I-20 is ready and available.
  • Compulsory International Student Health Insurance
  • All F-1 status international students are required to purchase Kansas City Kansas Community College’s compulsory International Student Health Insurance.
  • International students are required to carry health insurance through KCKCC from Relation Insurance Services, KCKCC’s international student health insurance carrier.
  • F-1 status students will be automatically enrolled in this health insurance plan each semester and will be charged the corresponding fees for this health insurance plan each semester.
  • THIS IS COMPULSORY AND CANNOT BE WAIVED.

Applicant Notes

  • All application materials and documents submitted for admission to Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) become the property of KCKCC; these materials and documents cannot be returned to the applicant.
  • Application requirements cannot be waived.
  • Submission of altered, falsified or fraudulent application information and/or Supplemental Items will result in the immediate DENIAL of admission.
  • Some courses may require fees in addition to the tuition and fees cost listed above; these fees are listed in the class schedule each semester.
  • The KCKCC Board of Trustees has the right to change tuition and fee costs without notice.
