The Honor's Deans' Scholarship

Offered to current KCKCC students with a cumulative 3.3 GPA in at least 12 hours and are Wyandotte County residents. It covers tuition and fees for Honors Courses taken the following semester. Contact the Honors' Education Office 913-288-7190 for more information.

The Honors GED Presidential Scholarship

Offered to GED graduates who score 3000+ on the GED exam and meet specific Accuplacer cutoff scores. It covers tuition and fees up to 86 credit hours for Wyandotte and Leavenworth county residents, is available to full-time, degree-seeking students and must be used beginning the fall semester following their GED completion.

It covers up to 18 credit hours per semester, requires students to participate in the Honors Education Program by completing four core courses and five honors courses. Recipients must maintain a 3.3 cumulative KCKCC grade point average and must meet with the Director of Honors Education every semester to renew the Scholarship.

It does not cover books, supplies, or college courses taken while enrolled in the GED program.

The Honor's Presidential Scholarship

Graduating high school seniors who are residents of Wyandotte or Leavenworth counties can apply for the Presidential Scholarship during their graduating semester once they have met the following criteria:

A cumulative high school G.P.A. of at least 3.3 and the following ACT (or SAT) and KCKCC’s Placement Test exam scores are required:

Youth Enrichment Seminar Scholarship

A consortium between the University of Kansas Talent Search Office and KCKCC designed to work with disadvantaged and high-risk students from the summer of grade eight through high school, followed by a full tuition and fee scholarship for up to 4 semesters at KCKCC. To receive the YES Scholarship students must not only be in TS but must apply and be accepted into the YES program in the 8th Grade.
