Deposit and Fee
All spaces rented require a nonexpendable $75 administrative fee.
There is a refundable damage deposit of 50% of the hourly rate total. The deposit is refunded if the venue is not damaged and/or if college policies have not been violated (e.g., smoking on campus, alcohol on campus, etc.).

Cancellation Policy
Notification of space cancellation by the requestor must be communicated to the Events and Scheduling office.
Refunds
Event cancellation notifications are required 30 days before an event to receive 100% of the fees paid.- Cancellation is within 29 days - 33 1/3% of the usage fee is retained by the college.
- Cancellation of less than 15 days - 50% of the fee is retained.
- Cancellation of less than 10 days - KCKCC retains the full fee.
KCKCC administration reserves the right to cancel an event if unforeseen circumstances arise (i.e., power outage, natural disasters, accessibility).
Fee Waivers
KCKCC is committed to serving our community in many ways. Wyandotte County residents, non-profits and businesses are encouraged and welcomed to use our facilities.
Applying for Fee Waivers
To apply for a fee waiver, complete the Community Venue and Facility Usage Request Form. Once received, the Events and Scheduling office confirms the event and emails the invoice. Requestors can then apply for a few waiver by submitting a letter on letterhead to the KCKCC Events and Scheduling office that includes the following information:
- Where the person/organization resides. Special consideration is given to Wyandotte County organizations and non-profits.
- Brief description of the purpose of the event.
- Will the event charge a fee to attend or participate? Is it raising money in any way?
- Type of group requesting the waiver: individual/family, business, non-profit, city/county municipality or another kind of organization.
Fee waiver requests should be submitted to the Events and Scheduling Office at least 30 days before the event whenever possible.
Fee Waiver Amounts
When granting fee waivers, the college considers the type of organization, the cost of attending the event, and the organization's location.
Please note that while fees are often waived, direct costs such as staff time and deposits are rarely waived. Full fee waivers are rarely granted for performance and athletic facilities at KCKCC.
100% Fee Waiver Qualifications
- Wyandotte County non-profit organizations that are not charging any fees or sponsorships
- Educational and other KCKCC institutional partners
75% Fees Waived
- Wyandotte County residents who host events that do not charge any fees or sponsorships
- Employees who host events that do not charge fees or sponsorships
- Wyandotte County non-profit organizations that charge fees or sponsorships
- Non-profit organizations outside of Wyandotte County that do not charge fees or sponsorships
50% Fees Waived
- Wyandotte County residents who host events that charge fees or sponsorships
- Employees who host events that charge fees or sponsorships
Fees are waived at the college's discretion and may be declined for a variety of factors.
