In-Person Courses

KCKCC, in partnership with Condensed Curriculum International (CCi), offers in-person career training certificate courses for the community. Together, they deliver innovative solutions for education and workforce development. These courses have flexible schedules, skills-based labs and activities, nationally recognized career certification exam(s) which are essential to entry-level employment, and optional volunteer externship opportunities.

Course Schedule and Enrollment

Registration

There are three ways to register in advance. Full payment is due at the time of registration. 

  1. Register online with a credit card at KCKCC Continuing Education Registration.
  2. Call the office at 913-288-7660 to pay with credit card.
  3. Register in person to pay with credit card, check or exact cash.

Refund Policy

All course transfers and cancellations must be made five business days prior to the originally scheduled course start date.

Optional Volunteer Externship Opportunity

Students who complete this program are eligible to participate in an optional volunteer externship opportunity with a local company/agency/organization whose work aligns with this area of study in order to gain valuable hands-on experience. As students progress through their eLearning program, an Externship Coordinator reaches out to coordinate placement. Additional documentation (health records, immunizations, drug screening, criminal background checks, etc.) may be required by the externship company.

Online Career Training Certificate Programs

KCKCC, in partnership with ed2go, offers online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional-level positions for many in-demand occupations. Topics include business, healthcare, technology, industry certifications and more.

Career Training Certificate Programs Course Catalog

These advanced courses offer a flexible way to learn and prepare for a new career or advance in your current job. Start anytime to learn new skills for in-demand occupations and prepare for Nationally Recognized Certifications. Students can work at their own pace, get support from a dedicated Student Advisor and complete in three to six months or up to a year. Earn a certificate of completion from KCKCC and, when applicable, a voucher to take the certification exam.

KCKCC, in partnership with ed2go, offers a wide range of short, affordable, non-credit online courses for individuals looking to build critical job skills or pursue a new hobby. They are also ideal options for employers looking to provide employee training.

Professional Development Course Catalog

Two flexible ways to learn:

  • Instructor-led courses start monthly and allow students to study and interact with a cohort over a six-week schedule.
  • Self-paced courses provide access to all lessons immediately with up to three months to complete.
