KCKCC will make every effort to communicate any weather-related changes as quickly as possible.

Graduate Information

  • Graduates who attend commencement are required to stay from arrival at 4:30 p.m. until the ceremony is complete at 8 p.m. Please make arrangements with work, family, and others to ensure you can attend the entire ceremony. Graduates may not leave early.
  • Arrive at 4:30 p.m. at the Hollywood Casino Gate entrance. Due to the limited time to form lines in preparation for seating (which begins at 5:45 p.m.), it is crucial that you arrive on time.
  • Student parking is in the Red Lot. Parking in other lots near stores may result in your vehicle being towed.
  • During the check-in process, you will receive your graduate name card and be directed to your graduate line. 
  • Arrive with your cap, gown, tassel and your honor cord, if applicable, already on.
    Note: Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher should have picked up their honor cord at a graduation fair. Honors are awarded for completed coursework. All Honors announced at the commencement ceremony are based on the Fall 2025 cumulative GPA.
  • Please limit your personal items and review the Know Before You Go. Check the website often, and after May 1.
  • Graduates may find it easier to wear something with pockets to hold phone, keys, etc. 
  • Graduates should wear comfortable shoes as you there are stairs in each section and it's almost a mile walk to the ceremony. Sharp, pointed heels (stilettos) are not allowed and may require a graduate to walk barefoot if worn to the ceremony.
  • Students will reunite with families outside of Sporting Park, following the ceremony.

Guest Information

  • Mazuma gates open at 5 p.m. for guests. The guest parking lot, Blue Lot, opens at 4 p.m.
  • A full list of information regarding Sporting Park accommodation and restrictions will be available by May 1. Please check the site before attending commencement.
  • All commencement seating is General Admission with designated seating sections open for family and guests. Seating is available in those sections on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • KCKCC encourages all guests to be in their seats by 5:45 p.m. to ensure they see the students march into the arena.
  • No outside food or beverage is allowed.
  • Sporting Park is cashless, with food and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.
  • Only 12-inch by 12-inch by 6-inch or smaller clear bags are allowed in Sporting Park.
  • Graduates may not leave before the ceremony ends. Celebrations should not be planned until after 8 p.m.
  • The ceremony will also be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.

Tickets

Tickets Available May 1

  • Tickets are required to attend the KCKCC Commencement.
  • Tickets are free.
  • Tickets are provided through Sporting Park via the SeatGeek app. Each SeatGeek user may reserve up to 4 tickets.
  • There is no limit to the number of tickets per graduate.
  • A limited number of printed tickets are also available in the marketing office, Flint, room 3619.
