The Kansas City Kansas Community College Art Gallery is hosting a reception for its current exhibition, “Artistic Radiance”, by local artist Clarissa Knighten from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 27 in the art gallery. Light refreshments will be provided. Knighten will have additional wearable art pieces for sale during the reception. The exhibition will be on display until March 13.
The exhibition transports the viewer into a world of natural beauty. Knighten meticulously weaves together beads, pearls, wood and shells with wire to create show-stopping wearable jewelry pieces. This exhibit not only focuses on wearable pieces but also includes never-before-seen wall pieces. Her jewelry designs have been featured on fashion runways and movie screens, and her wall art has been featured on the Bel-Air television show.
