KCKCC remembered the lives lost and the sacrifice of our first responders on Sept. 11, 2001 with a short ceremony Sept. 11. The ceremony included the raising of the American flag and comments from KCKCC President Dr. Greg Mosier and Wade Abel, director of Military and Veterans Services, among others.
In 2002, Sept. 11 was declared Patriot Day to remember the victims of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centers, the Pentagon and the passengers of Flight 93. It is a national day of service and remembrance to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost and to recognize the heroism of the first responders.
