KCKCC recognizes that exposure to various cultures is more than a meaningful experience - it’s a powerful driver of critical thinking, career readiness and personal development. To support this vision, KCKCC has launched the Cultural Enrichment Center (CEC). Students and community members can engage in transformative experiences that build cultural fluency and intelligence in this dynamic, hands-on learning environment.
Beyond cultural celebrations, the CEC will be a hub for meaningful exploration, reflection and dialogue. It is designed to help individuals navigate today’s society with awareness, empathy and adaptability - skills essential for personal growth and success in a multicultural workforce.
Dr. Fabiola Riobé, vice president of educational innovation and global programming, describes the CEC as “a vibrant space where students and community members can engage with multicultural experiences, challenge assumptions and grow in their cultural competencies.” Through intentionally designed programs, partnerships and events, the CEC will advance KCKCC’s commitment to educational innovation, professional readiness and lifelong learning in a multicultural society.
The Cultural Enrichment Center aims to be a cornerstone of KCKCC’s efforts to prepare students for success in a culturally complex world by embedding multicultural learning into the student experience, deepening community engagement and supporting the college’s vision of excellence.
