KCKCC Continues Modernization of Ellucian

February 13 2026 Strategic Goals General

KCKCC launched a new myDotte Feb. 2, which offers employees and students a simpler, more modern way to access campus resources. The new portal provides single sign-on access to Self-Service, Microsoft Office apps, class schedules, advising tools and other essential services - all in one centralized location. The legacy myDotte will continue to operate until files and forms are migrated to the new platform. The college will notify users when the original site will be retired.

The new myDotte is part of a broader, college-wide initiative to modernize KCKCC’s core business technology systems by migrating the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Student Information System (SIS) - Ellucian Colleague - from locally hosted infrastructure to a secure, cloud-based platform. This transition positions the system to be more resilient, scalable and future-ready, while reducing reliance on on-campus hardware and improving the college’s overall disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.

While this migration represents a significant transformation behind the scenes, besides the new portal (myDotte) most users will experience little to no change in how they access or use Colleague. The college remains on track to complete the transition to Colleague cloud this summer, ensuring continuity while modernizing the underlying systems that support teaching, learning, and operations.

Moving Colleague to the cloud aligns with KCKCC’s strategic goals by improving system reliability, increasing operational efficiency, and enabling more streamlined and automated processes across campus. Over time, these enhancements will reduce administrative processing timelines, improve the student experience, and support clearer, more personalized pathways to completion.

The new myDotte further supports this modernization effort by simplifying everyday tasks. Users can quickly locate the information and tools they need without navigating multiple websites and can personalize their homepage with content most relevant to their role. Beginning in March, myDotte will become the single access point for Blue Connect, Blackboard, Self-Service, the Help Desk and Office 365. The login button on the KCKCC website will direct users to the new portal.

Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to explore and personalize the new myDotte experience.

Additional updates and guidance will be shared via email and the KCKCC website in the coming weeks as the project continues.
