KCKCC to Celebrate International Education Week

November 14 2025 General Events

KCKCC will celebrate International Education Week (IEW) Nov. 17 to 20 in Lower Jewell. Established in 2000 by the U.S. Departments of State and Education, the weeklong observance highlights the importance of international education, language learning and cultural exchange in preparing individuals for success in an increasingly interconnected world.

Throughout the week, students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in a series of events designed to showcase global diversity and foster cross-cultural understanding:

Nov. 17: Opening Ceremony | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (featuring guest speakers Diana Borodina, a former international student at the college and the current assistant controller and Tevin Jituti, a KCKCC biology student and December 2025 graduate).

Nov. 18: Fashion Show & Lunch | 1 to 3 p.m.

Nov. 19: Global Bites | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Nov. 20: Cultures in Motion | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

International Education Week provides an opportunity for the KCKCC community to explore cultures from around the world without leaving campus.
