KCKCC Students, Community Members Invited to Study Abroad in Rome

There’s still time to register for Kansas City Kansas Community College’s 2026 Study Abroad trip to Rome, Italy, taking place March 13 to 23, 2026.

This life-changing educational experience gives students and community members the opportunity to explore Rome’s rich history, art and culture while earning academic credit. Participants will enjoy guided day trips to Tivoli and Florence, as well as field trips to iconic sites such as the Colosseum, Trevi Foundation, the Spanish Steps, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, Pantheon, Castel Sant’ Angelo, Galleria Borghese, Basilica of San Clemente and many other historic landmarks.

The program costs $3,620 per person, which includes hotel accommodations, breakfast, museum tickets, medical insurance, in-country travel and three group meals (airfare and tuition are not included). Classes available include:

  • PSYC 298: Special Topics in Psychology
  • MATH 111: Contemporary Mathematics
  • HIST 115: World Civilization to 1500 (Honors Contract)
  • HIST 116: World Civilization 1500 to present (Honors Contract)
  • HIST 205: Western Civilization Scientific Revolution to Modern (Honors Contract)

The courses associated with the study abroad experience in Rome are full semester, three credit-hour courses. There will be due dates for course assignments throughout the semester, both before and after travel to Italy. Tuition is $107/credit hour for Wyandotte County residents and $199.50/credit hour for Kansas residents. Students may apply for an honors contract on a different course with the approval of that course instructor and Dr. Stacy Tucker, honors program director. Registration is open now and closes Dec.11. A payment of $1,810 is due by Dec. 11, with a second payment of $1,810 due by Jan. 12, 2026.
