This forum offers participants the opportunity to be part of dynamic conversations with thought leaders and innovators exploring the impact of generative AI on critical thinking, creativity and decision-making.

Students, faculty and staff at any institution, and any person interested in the impact of AI on reasoning and conclusions are invited to attend. 

Organized by the Psi Beta Chapter and the Psychology–Addictions Counseling Club, with support from the Departments of Psychology, Undergraduate Research, Online Education Services, and the Blue Devil Institute for Teaching and Learning, this forum showcases the power of interdisciplinary partnerships in advancing scholarship and educational excellence.

Biography

Dr. Girard studies how emotions are expressed through verbal and nonverbal behavior, as well as how interpersonal communication is influenced by individual differences (e.g., personality and mental health) and social factors (e.g., culture and context). This work is deeply interdisciplinary and draws insights and tools from various areas of social science, computer science, statistics, and medicine.
