What Will I Learn?

Students in the paralegal program learn civil and criminal procedure, together with the procedural and substantive concepts and vocabulary necessary to play an important role in the legal profession. The curriculum combines theory with practical application to prepare graduates to work as paralegals under the supervision of an attorney. Paralegals are often the first contact a legal client has, and they may interview clients, perform legal research, prepare documents and assist at trial.

Career Paths

Graduates are eligible for employment at law firms, banks, real estate offices, legislators, judges, corporations and government agencies.

Alum Perspective

“The paralegal program was beneficial in more ways than one for me. It prepared me for my current job at the DA’s office and with most of the classes online, it was nice to have the flexibility. Professor Lask was always willing to answer all questions for me and explain things for me whenever I didn’t understand. I loved the people and the classes.”
