What Will I Learn?
The Mortuary Science program prepares graduates to pass the National Board Examination (NBE) and to deliver quality funeral, cremation, and memorial services with professionalism, integrity, and compassion. Students will learn to prepare a decedent through embalming or cremation, arrange and direct funeral services, interact with the grieving, and follow legal aspects of the funeral service industry. This degree is good for individuals who are socially perceptive, active listeners, and service-oriented.
Career Paths
Upon passing the NBE and gaining licensure, graduates can see career paths such as funeral attendant, funeral home manager, funeral director, and embalmer.
