SASS Resources

AIM System Resources

SASS uses the Accessible Information Management (AIM) system for managing disability related data. In order for students to get disability related services, they must first register through AIM. The following resources can help students navigate the system to register, login and request accommodations.

College Transition Resources

These resources help students and their families understand the difference between high school and college.

Learning Supports

Students are invited to make use of the SASS staff members who can provide learning supports for all  students enrolled at KCKCC. These services are provided at no charge. Services include:

  • Learning styles/preference inventory
  • Study skills
  • Test taking techniques
  • Note taking tips
  • Time management practices

Technology Resources

SASS has a full-time Assistive Technology Specialist. To schedule a meeting, please call 913-288-7671 or email rbeach@kckcc.edu.

The specialist can help with assistive technology suggestions, training, referrals and more. Some of the technology needs might include, but are not limited to note taking apps, reading technologies, built-in accessibility settings for devices, screen reader or screen magnifier support, etc.

Assistive Technology for Kansans

Kansas residents with disabilities who have technology needs can get help from the Assistive Technology for Kansans (ATK) Project. ATK can provide technology assessments, demonstrations, short-term equipment loans and help with finding alternative financing.
