Current KCKCC students, faculty and staff are able to download, install, and use Microsoft Office 365 applications on desktop and laptop computers, free of charge, as part of the Microsoft Student Advantage program. These applications are the same versions as boxed software available for purchase in stores.
Downloading Office 365
- Go to Microsoft's Office for Students, Teachers, & Schools web page.
- Enter your KCKCC email address in the 'Enter your school email address' field.
- Click on the green "Get Started" button.
- The Office 365 portal web page will now appear.
- Click on 'Install Office' and follow the on screen dialog to load Office on your computer.
Getting Access to Office 365
Students are able to access Office 365 after they enroll in their courses. This process may take up to 24 hours to complete.
Access to Office 365 allows KCKCC students, faculty and staff to download Office Applications to their personal device using their KCKCC login. Make sure the device has enough disk space as well as a good connection to the internet before beginning the download process.
The access to Office 365 is removed after students graduate or are no longer eligible to enroll in courses. It may take up to 30 days for Office 365 to fully deactivate. During that time, there are prompts to purchase a license to continue using the software.
