Learn how to operate a motorcycle or personal scooter safely, with emphasis on the special skills and mental attitude necessary for dealing with traffic.

Personal Scooters are not provided by the program. If you wish to learn to ride a personal scooter, you must bring your own personal scooter along with proof of insurance. Please contact the program office for scooter criteria.

All courses are taught by Motorcycle Safety Foundation certified Rider Coaches. Course is approved by the State of Kansas.

KCKCC Basic Rider Course is on the approved list of courses eligible for the Motor Vehicle Accident Prevention Course Discount.

For the seasoned rider who wants to hone their skills and fine-tune the mental drills needed to survive in traffic. Riders will discuss how to balance the mental and physical aspects of safe riding, manage risk, increase visibility and optimize lane position.
