Student Housing 2016-2017

Must be a full-time student enrolled in 12 credit hours or full-time at the T.E.C., and single student to be eligible to live on campus.  A $200.00 non-refundable prepayment fee is due before submitting application. Please contact the Business Office at 913-288-7620 for assistance with your payment. All applicants are put on a waiting list until June 10. Our Student Athletes, students receiving KCKCC scholarships and returning students have first priority until June 10. Room assignments are done on a first come first serve basis.

Emergency Contact

Please provide information about the person we should contact in situations where you are perceived to be missing for 24 hours or more.
The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, Section 488 (g) requires that students be provided the opportunity to designate an individual other than their emergency contact that College should contact in the event that the student is confirmed to be missing. In the case where the student is younger than 18 years of age and not emancipated parent or guardian will also be contacted.

Choice of Rooms

All rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Acceptance of the contract does not guarantee assignment to a specific building, room, or roommate. Please remember that all utilities, cable and parking are included in room rates.


All apartment are fully furnished.

Payment Plan Options

Note: Payment plans are managed by the resident (student). Resident are responsible for tracking payments and there due dates. 

Pay in Full Option Plan - 
Pay the entire term of the contract by August 15th  If paying on-line select summer term.

Pay in Full Option Plan - First half due by Aug 15th and second half due by March 15th 

Monthly Payment Option Plan – To sign up for monthly payments login to Webadvisor or call the Business Office at 913-288-7620 for assistance.

Pay with using Federal Financial Aid- By choosing this option, please submit a copy of your Financial Aid Award Letter and a completed Financial Aid Housing Information Sheet to the Housing Supervisor

Payment using a Scholarship- By choosing this option, applicants must submit proof of their Scholarship and proof of housing fee coverage.

Past Due Balances

Residents with no consistent payment activity on their housing balance by September 15th will be sent a “notice to vacate” letter. Students are given seven days to fully clean their apartment, and return all housing keys and properly checkout with a Resident Assistant. Past due balance, cancellation fees, and any damage fees will be charged to student’s account.   

Acknowledgement

I acknowledge and accept full financial responsibility for the residential accommodations for both room and board.  I agree that the account must be paid in full by the end of each semester.  I have read this contract, the KCKCC Student Housing Handbook, and the KCKCC Student Code of Conduct and agree to comply with and abide by all terms and conditions of such documents, rules and regulations. I understand that my failure to abide by these terms may result in dismissal from Student Housing.  I also understand that the College may notify a parent or legal guardian in case of an emergency or in a situation which they deem to be potentially life threatening or a risk to my health/safety.
