ACCUPLACER Placement Test Requirement STUDY GUIDE

If you are a first-time college student or a transfer student who hasn't yet completed a college-level English and math course, you are required to have your reading, writing, and math skills evaluated. This required placement test is given in the Academic Resource Center located in room 3344 on the upper level of the Jewell Student Center. You must furnish a photo ID and your social security number. The test is free, is given on a computer, and takes about an hour and a half. No appointment is required. Study guides are available in the Academic Resource Center to aid in preparing for the test.

Kansas City Kansas Community College has a mandatory placement policy. Your test scores will determine which Math and English courses you are placed in. Upon completing the placement test, you will be given your scores. You will need your score sheet in order to enroll.
