About the Jazz Summit

The Kansas City Jazz Summit is a celebration of jazz music and an educational opportunity for high school and college jazz bands, combos, and vocal ensembles to showcase their unique style and personality.

This summit takes place April 28, Tuesday, through May 1, Friday, in the Performing Arts Center at Kansas City Kansas Community College.

The schedule typically features vocal ensembles on Tuesday, while Wednesday and Friday showcase big bands and combos. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday are non-competitive days, focusing on receiving written comments and onstage clinics from master performers and educators.
