Originally recorded in 2019, Greg Schneider was one of the first 100 stories KCKCC collected in our ongoing series as we continue to celebrate our 100th anniversary. Schneider was first a student at KCKCC, later becoming a student worker in the Campus Police Department. He was then hired as the college’s first part-time police officer and eventually become chief of police, before retiring in 2019 after 33 years of service.
“Not only has KCKCC provided me with the professional development, education and experience, my kids have also experienced the same thing,” he said. “My daughter is a graduate and was hired straight out of the nursing program. My son attended the fire science program, so it means a lot, what KCKCC has provided both to me and my family.”
