Computer Labs

Open Computer Labs

There are 22 student computers located in the Library Open Lab. These are available on a first come/first served basis. There is no time limit for their use. Internet and word processing plus some specialty software is available on these computers. Use of these computers is available only to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff. Since student logins are de-activated at the end of each semester these computers are usually not available to students between semesters. As these computers require network login, they are not available for community use. Community members are referred to the local public library.

There are also 11 computers dedicated to the Library's online catalog and database research. Although internet and word processing are not available on these computers they can be used by the community to search the online catalog and databases.

Computer usage in the library

Student Open Lab (22 computers)

The computers in the Library Open Lab are available only to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff. Each person is allowed to be logged in at one computer. No one is allowed to log in multiple users on a single login. To do so is in violation of the College's AComputer Usage Guidelines.@ Violators will be asked to log off immediately and continued abuse may result in loss of computer privileges. Only those using the computers should be in the lab area. This is not the place for group visits as it prevents others from using the computers.

The Library realizes that many of our adult students are single parents and must bring their children to the Library to study. The Library provides crayons, coloring books, 2000 children's books and many children's videos and DVDs.
