Location of Materials

Where are items located in the library?

  • circulating books are all located on open shelving on the 2nd floor of the library
  • reference books are located on open shelving on the first floor of the library
  • reserve materials are on closed shelving behind the circulation desk on the first floor of the library. Library employees will retrieve these materials.
  • Leisure reading books are located on the southeast side of the second floor.
  • current year of periodicals are located on the first floor, with the most recent issue on the open journal shelving and prior issues behind the circulation desk
  • older periodicals are located on open shelving on the south side of the second floor
  • music CDs are located in display cabinets on the first floor north end
  • all other AV materials must be requested at the circulation desk located on the first floor. Many of these items may only be used in the library
