Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a commission of the North Central Association and the Kansas Board of Regents. To be considered for online accreditation, programs must have at least 50 percent of their required courses available in the online environment.

The Higher Learning Commission conducted an on-site visit to KCKCC on December 5-6, 2011, to evaluate its change application request to offer associate degrees through distance delivery courses. The site visit team submitted its report in December, recommending approval of the request. KCKCC received official notification from HLC of the approval on February 21, 2012.

KCKCC programs currently offered 100 percent online are the following: Accounting, Administrative Office Professional, Associate of General Studies, Associate of Science, Business Administration, Computer Software Tech/Technician, Computer Systems Networking, and Marketing/Mid Management.
