The grant writer consults with administrators, faculty and staff to identify grant opportunities appropriate for advancing KCKCC's mission and programs.

Mission and Purpose

Supports the resource development goals of the College by identifying grant opportunities

Communicates information about grant opportunities to administrators, faculty, and staff

Works to offer support for faculty and staff in preparing requests for proposals and other components for grant submission

Prepares and submits prioritized grant proposals on schedule

Manages/administers grant awarded to the College


To develop knowledge of grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other sources appropriate for KCKCC mission.

To research, prepare and submit grant proposals in accordance with a funding source’s guidelines and College workflow schedule.

To support faculty and staff as they seek out and grant opportunities, work with departments and divisions, if requested, to best prepare and submit grant proposals. 

To consult with administrators, faculty and staff during the grant proposal development and management stages.

To work with grant project managers in order to submit program and fiscal reports as required.
