The GreenUp Program

The Green Up training program is a six to eight week, intensive learning experience incorporating hands-on technical skill training in emerging green career fields, entrepreneurship and small business development, essential employability skills training, and career placement assistance. Through an innovative partnership between Mid-America Regional Council, EnergyWorks KC, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County, Heartland Habitat for Humanity, national green training experts, and our own TEC program, KCKCC offers this training to jobseekers and prospective green entrepreneurs metro-wide.

Our initial focus is on deconstruction & building materials reuse. Program graduates complete the Green Up program with hands-on deconstruction training and nationally recognized certifications in OSHA safety, lead abatement, forklift operations, and other related fields.
