7:30am - Check in (doors will be closed at 7:50 a.m.) for all tests.

- Writing—Part I-50 questions, Part II-essay, 2 hours
- Math—50 questions—1 hour, 30 minutes
- Lunch
- Science—50 questions—1 hour, 20 minutes
- Social Studies—50 questions—1 hour, 10 minutes
- Language Arts, Reading-40 questions—1 hour, 5 minutes

All examinees who pass the Official GED Practice Test (OPT) are eligible to register for the GED Test immediately following the OPT with KCKCC’s GED Examiners. Those choosing to register at a later date are asked to call 913-288-7661 to set up an appointment to register for the GED Test. Application to take the GED exam must be made at least one week prior to the test.
Proof of a passing score on the Official Pretest, payment and valid State ID are required at registration. Cash or checks made payable to Kansas City Kansas Community College are the only acceptable payment methods. An applicant must be at least 18 years old or older. An applicant 16 or 17 years old must have a disclaimer and an exemption.
The GED Test will be cancelled if there is not sufficient registration for a specific date. Candidates will be notified at least 3 days prior to the test. Scores will be mailed to you within 1 week from the date of the exam, if the entire test is completed.
