Passing the official pretest is required, in Kansas, before taking the actual test. Candidates must register and pay at least 1 week prior to the scheduled test date, providing there are still openings. Space is limited for each session. Cash or checks made payable to Kansas City Kansas Community College are the only acceptable payment methods. An applicant must be a resident of Kansas and 18 years or older. An applicant 16 or 17 years old must have a disclaimer and an exemption from their school district. A valid State ID (such as: driver’s license or KS ID card) is required at time of registration and on the date of exam.
The GED pretest will be cancelled if there is not sufficient enrollment. Candidates will be notified at least 3 days prior to the pretest.
