How is Instruction Provided?

Students are assesses in reading, mathematics and writing skills at enrollment/orientation to ensure appropriate placement in their course work. Participants then work with instructors to identify academic and life goals and to set educational plans. Classes are held in the various subject areas. Instructors use many teaching styles and materials to address student learning preferences. Technology is incorporated into the learning process.

Whiles students are attending the program, they also learn about post-secondary education and training. They participate in career exploration and learn about what kinds of education and/or training is required for various occupations. A college strategies course is also offered for students who plant to attend college.
