Community Services

Continuing Education and Community Services is committed to providing community programs that serve the diverse needs of a broad community of learners. Community Services offers non-credit classes and workshops, 55 programs, youth activities, GED preparation and testing, and a variety of special programs to meet the needs of a changing community.

Special Events
Continuing Education and Community Services hosts many special events for the community regarding business and workforce development issues.

    Enrichment
    "Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some." - Robert Fulghum Continuing Education and Community Services recognizes the need for balance by offering classes to enhance and improve your life and the life of your family while having fun.

    P.A.C.E. - Degree Completion Program
    PACE (Program for Adult College Education) is a degree program designed for adults who want to attend college full-time while maintaining their jobs and/or home responsibilities. The program offers general education requirements for an Associate in Arts degree with courses transferable to four-year colleges and universities in the area.

    Driver/Rider Safety
    Continuing Education and Community Services understands the importance of safe roads in our community. Therefore, we offer drivers education courses for everyone, from youth to seniors. We also offer the most comprehensive motorcycle training program in the Kansas City metro area.

    College Credit for High School Students
    The Tech Prep and Concurrent Enrollment programs are specifically designed to give young people a jump start to higher education. Each offers distinct services that prepare high school students for college and eventually, a career.
    Fifty-Five Plus
    Technology, events, crafts, exercise and education; Continuing Education and Community Services offers activities and programs to support and enhance the life of our active mature residents.

    GED / On-Track
    Continuing Education and Community Services offers GED testing. Get back 'On-Track' with our comprehensive GED preparation program developed to improve student skills and taught by people that truly care about your success.

    ESL (English as a Second Language)
    Our non-credit introduction to English for those who have a different first language. This program will help bridge the language divide with critical tools for work and community.

    Online Learning
    Whether it's to advance your career, touch up on skills or just learn about something new, Continuing Education and Community Services offers a large selection of fun, informative and affordable online courses.

    Admissions Test Preparations
    Continuing Education and Community Services offers online preparation for admissions tests to include: GED, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, ACT, SAT

    Youth Programs
