FRANK AND DORIS SCHLAGLE SCHOLARSHIP

CRITERIA

APPLICATION

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS JUNE 15. These scholarships cover tuition, fees and required course books for six to fifteen credit hours per semester. Students must enroll in a minimum of six credit hours. There will be a limited number of scholarships available.

ALL STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE WITHIN THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

  • Preference given to Wyandotte and Leavenworth County Students.

  • Academic Requirement: High School or College G.P.A. of 3.25 or meet established standardized GED test scores.

  • Must be pursuing an Associate Degree or Certificate from Kansas City Kansas Community College.

  • Must not be receiving more than the allowable $1,500 per semester of PELL Grant (based on full-time status).

The Frank and Doris Schlagle Scholarship is renewable as long as the student maintains a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.25, completes 100% of the courses taken and receives no more than $1,500 per semester in PELL eligibility based on full-time status.

To apply, applicants must complete the following forms and mail or turn them into the appropriate office:

  1. Complete the Application for admission (available in the Admissions office) or online at www.kckcc.edu.

  2. Request all official final transcripts and scores from high school, college, GED, etc. and have them sent to the Admissions Office. Without required transcripts, your application will be considered incomplete.

  3. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on line at www.fafsa.gov. Unless we have your PELL information available to us by the June 15th deadline, your application will be considered incomplete.

  4. Complete an Endowment Scholarship application form (available in the Endowment and Financial Aid offices). Return completed application to the Endowment Office. Student must complete a new scholarship application by June 15th deadline each academic year to be considered for renewal.

All the above information must be available to us by the June 15th Deadline in order to be considered for a Frank and Doris Schlagle Scholarship.
