Cosmetology - Technical Certificate



This is a highly structured program which prepares students to take the Kansas Board of Cosmetology written and performance exam required before a graduate can become a licensed cosmetologist. Enrollees must have a government-issued photo identification card. Students must purchase uniforms, textbooks and cosmetology kit. A Kansas Board of Cosmetology testing fee is also required. Students must be high school graduates or have a GED before they are eligible to take the Kansas Board of Cosmetology exam.

This program requires a reading score of 60 on the ACCUPLACER test before you can register for this program. Go to our Mandatory Evaluation and Minatory Placement page to find out more information about the test.
