Accounting Specialist Certificate

Program/CIP Code: ACCT.SPEC.CERT/52.0305
Credits Required: 30
Division: Math, Science, Business and Technology
This program builds upon the fundamental skills learned in the Accounting Assistant certificate. This program provides additional training in specialized areas of accounting. Graduates may work in a small business and be responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping or work in a larger firm and specialize in a certain area under the supervision of an accountant. The program combines hands-on computer training with accounting concepts and procedures. Courses serve as a solid foundation for further study in the accounting field and will transfer into the Associate in Applied Science in Accounting with no loss of credit hours for students seeking an associate degree.
