Pre-Dental - Associate in Science

The Pre-Dental Program is designed to prepare students for entry into dental school. The program is a rigorous science and math-based program that can be combined with any major. It is important to note that the Pre-Dental Program is not a major but rather a program consisting of 69-70 credit hours.

These courses serve as the prerequisites for application to dental school. The pre-dental advisers can assist students in tandem with their major adviser. The pre-dental advisor informs the student of prerequisite courses, admissions test dates, and application deadlines, as well as provides workshops and letters of evaluation for application to dental school.

The following program provides a foundation of general education while fulfilling prerequisites for the study of dentistry. Students should select honors courses whenever they are offered.

Since the transferability of courses will vary depending on the specific four-year institution, it is strongly recommended that if students are intending to transfer to a four-year institution, they must consult with the transfer institution and with their respective KCKCC advisor before enrolling in order to determine the transferability of their courses. It is the student's responsibility to follow the transfer requirements established by his/her transfer institution.
